Completed Sewing Projects

Finished my first magic pillowcase (magic because all seams are hidden)! I used 3 different cotton fabrics by Buttercream from their Cosette Collection. This was really easy, and I learned how to do a french seam along the way. Lovin’ my new sewing machine, and feeling really good because I made a few things by hand from scratch.

My all white rag quilt finally got washed and dried today (twice lol). I’m in love with it.

Moda Layer Cake Rag Quilt

I received my first sewing machine for my birthday last November (Brother CS6000i), and then broke my ankle in early December and couldn’t use the machine. By the time I was ready to sew, I had spent more than several weeks viewing quilt tutorials online and on YouTube. I couldn’t wait to get started! Unfortunately, I spent several days trying to get the sewing machine to work properly and had only sewn three 10×10 layer cakes before it went totally F.U.B.A.R.. Here’s the first one;

New iPhone 6s Case

Just received my new custom 6s case. I love it because…. well, it’s Keith Urban!

I bought this from the talented artist DacDacGirl on RedBubble. She sells her artwork on different mediums. You should see her little chibi of Professor Snape and her chibi Goblin King. They’re SO cute! The case is hard plastic and quite nice (lip on the front edges so you can lay the phone down on a flat surface without the screen touching).
